In moments of uncertainty and chaos, we easily relapse into negative thought patterns, feelings of powerlessness and fear. But all challenges are invitations to empower ourselves, to reconnect to center and unify our energies to overcome the obstacles.
Taiji Quan and Qigong are practices that focus the mind, strengthen the energetic body and boost the immune system.

QIGONG is an ancient healing practice from China that combines physical movement, breath and massage. Like acupuncture, it is based on the energy meridian pathways of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Instead of needles, it uses movements and sound vibrations to move “qi” – or life energy – through the body. All pain and dysfunction results from energy being blocked along these subtle pathways.
Qigong is medicine in motion and NOW is the time to practice!
For dancers, actors, musicians and artists, the benefits of developing a qigong practice are many, but fall into two broad categories. First, the emphasis on the soft, subtle and pleasurable aspects of movement allow for deeply authentic and integrated expression to emerge from the physical body. Secondly, it serves as a method for “tuning the human instrument”, allowing for the artist who practices qigong regularly to have a long, fruitful career by avoiding injuries, over training, and disease.
AlexandraDamiani has been practicing and teaching qigong for the last decade under the direction of her teacher, and she represents a lineage that dates back to 1200 AD. She is passionate about sharing the deep richness of this holistic practice. She is completed a three year certification from the Institute of Traditional Medicine (Toronto, CA) in Medical Qigong
